Terms of Service & End User License Agreement (EULA)

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ("EULA" or "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and Geopointia regarding your access to and use of the Geopointia mobile application and related services. By downloading, installing, or playing Geopointia, you agree to be bound by all of these terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use and uninstall the application.

2. License Grant & Limitations

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Geopointia grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and run the application for personal, non-commercial educational and entertainment purposes on compatible mobile devices owned or controlled by you.

3. Virtual Points & In-Game Items

Geopointia incorporates virtual gameplay points ("Credits") used solely for match tier participation, player rankings, and unlocking custom profile avatars. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Credits are purely virtual score units and carry zero real-world monetary value.
• Credits cannot be purchased, redeemed, or exchanged for real-world fiat currency, goods, or financial compensation under any circumstances.
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts and do not constitute personal property. We reserve the right to manage, regulate, control, or adjust virtual credit parameters.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Code of Conduct

Geopointia provides social and multiplayer interaction features, including custom usernames and profile avatars. We enforce a strict ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY for objectionable, abusive, or harmful behavior. By using the application, you agree NOT to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Abusive Behavior: Harassing, bullying, stalking, threatening, or defaming other players.
• Objectionable Content: Creating usernames, profile displays, or interactions that contain sexually explicit material, hate speech, racial or religious slurs, violence, or vulgarity.
• Cheating & Exploits: Employing bots, automated software, scripts, hacks, or modifying database records to artificially manipulate match scores, rankings, or credit balances.
• System Abuse: Impersonating administrators, exploiting software bugs, or attempting to breach Firebase security rules or underlying server architectures.

5. Content Moderation, Reporting & 24-Hour Enforcement

To ensure a safe environment in compliance with Apple App Store Safety Guideline 1.2 and Google Play policies:

• In-App Reporting & Blocking: Users are provided with accessible in-app controls to instantly block objectionable users or report harmful usernames and conduct.
• 24-Hour Moderation Action: Administrators actively review all submitted user reports. We guarantee to review, moderate, remove objectionable content, and eject or permanently ban offending accounts within 24 hours of receiving a report.
• Account Termination: We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to terminate or suspend access to any account that violates this EULA without prior notice or liability.

6. Third-Party Data & Attribution Notices

Geopointia utilizes public historical data, geographic coordinates, and media assets queried from the Wikidata API (a Wikimedia project) in accordance with the Creative Commons CC0 License and Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) licenses. Interactive mapping tiles, geographic coordinates, and rendering technologies are powered by Mapbox and its data providers, including © OpenStreetMap contributors.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

Geopointia is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that gameplay will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely free from temporary server outages. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Geopointia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the application.
